VISAKHAPATNAM: Three warships of the Indian Coast Guard— ICGS Vikram, ICGS Chandbibi and ICGS Ramadevi will be decommissioned at the Coast Guard Jetty in Visakhapatnam on Thursday.Chief of the Eastern Naval Command and former Director General of Indian Coast Guard Vice-Admiral, Anil Chopra will be the chief guest on the occasion.Offshore Patrol Vessel ICGS Vikram, commissioned on December 19, 1983 was indigenously built by Mazagaon Dock Limited, Mumbai, while ICGS Ramadevi, commissioned on August 3, 1985, was an Inshore Patrol Vessel, built by Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers Limited, Kolkata.The third vessel ICGS Chandbibi is the second of the Inshore Patrol Vessel Japan class) built by Sumidagawa Shipping Company Limited, Japan, which was commissioned on February 22, 1984 at Port Blair.The ceremony will culminate with presenting the decommissioning crest to Commander, Coast Guard Region East) by the respective Commanding Officers of the ships
