In today’s world where cases of animal cruelty often make news, the service provided by Arvind from the Peddapalli district of Andhra Pradesh to stray animals makes for a pleasant read. Arvind, from Godavarikhani in Peddapalli, completed his diploma in electrical engineering and was working a contract job at the local RFCL. Since childhood, Arvind has had a deep affection for animals.
He keeps dogs at home and also feeds stray dogs, treating them like friends. When these animals suffered from minor injuries or illnesses, he tended to them. Over time, he began providing veterinary care for cattle at his own expense. He purchases medicines for stray dogs and cattle to treat their wounds, seasonal diseases and skin allergies, using his own money.
He works for 8 hours a day, and his leisure time is spent taking care of these animals. Arvind takes cows suffering from road accidents or other diseases to a cowshed, where he provides full treatment and care. He has shared with Local18 that he has saved around 200 cows to date. At present, there are 30 cows in his care at the cowsheds. These cows, brought from different areas and on the brink of death, are now receiving the attention they need.
In addition to providing medical care, Arvind has formed a close bond with the cows. He calls some of them by their names and shows them affection, creating a nurturing and loving environment for these animals Arvind shared that his love for animals has driven him to protect and care for them from a young age.
