New Delhi: At the launch event of its 41 megapixel cameraphone - Lumia 1020 - in India, Nokia declined to reveal the price and said that the price of the smartphone would be revealed on October 10, a day before the phone is expected to hit store shelves.
But the phone is already up for pre-order on the online Nokia Shop (powered by Indiatimes Shopping) at Rs 49,999. The site though says the phone would be "releasing by 3rd Week of October." The listed Nokia Lumia 1020 also includes also a pair of Nokia WH-530 stereo headphones for free.
The phone is available in three colours - black, yellow and white. Nokia had previously announced that the accessories designed for the Lumia 1020, the Nokia Camera Grip will cost Rs 7,500 and the wireless charging shell would be available for Rs 3,200.
The highlight of the Nokia Lumia 1020 is its 41-megapixel camera which is said to record more details than other camera phones and even tops point-and-shoot cameras. It has a 4.5-inch AMOLED WXGA (1280x768) display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
Powered by a 1.5 GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor and 2GB of RAM, the Lumia 1020 runs Microsoft's Windows phone 8. It also has a HD 1.2 megapixel wide angle front camera. The Lumia 1020 comes with a 2000 mAh battery.
