Raj resigned from Shiv Sena on Nov 27 after differences with cousin Uddhav, who is the party's executive president.

Mumbai: For the first time after the estrangement with his cousin Uddhav, Shiv Sena leader Raj Thackeray met his uncle Bala Saheb Thackeray at Matoshree on Thursday morning for about 10 minutes.

He was accompanied by senior Sena leader and former Lok Sabha Speaker Manohar Joshi.

Joshi had earlier held a series of meetings with Raj and his cousin Uddhav separately over the last few days to find a solution to the crisis in the party.

Sena sources said Thackeray's son Uddhav was not be present during the meeting.

Raj had resigned from all party posts on November 27 after he reportedly developed differences with cousin Uddhav, who is the executive president of the party.

After the meeting with his uncle, Raj said that there will be no compromise in his stand. He also added that he will remain out side the party.

According to political analysts, Raj may form his own political party rather than joining any existing one.
