CHENNAI: The 48-hour rail roko call by Telangana Joint Action Committee has hit train services as Southern Railways has been forced to curtail the services of eight express trains and divert 38 trains that would be passing through Andhra Pradesh.A railway spokesperson said that more trains will be affected and a new list is being prepared. “We have also set up Special Information Centre at Chennai Central and Chennai Egmore railway station to provide information to the passengers regarding train services,” she added.Four outgoing trains and as many incoming trains have been “partially cancelled”, the spokesperson said. The Chennai Central-Hyderabad Charminar Express will be terminated at Vijayawada railway station and will start from the same city on in its return journey. Similarly, Chennai Central-Hyderabad Express and the Thiruvananthapuram-Hyderabad Sabari Express will run only upto Guntur railway, whereas the the Chennai Egmore-Kacheguda Express will be operated till Kurnool Town. Twenty-one outgoing trains from Chennai will be diverted through various sections. These include the Ahmedabad-Navjeevan Express, which will be diverted via Arakonam, Renigunta, Guntakal, Wadi, Daund, Pune and Vasai Road.The Grand Trunk Express, Tamil Nadu Express, Chennai Central-Hazrat Nizamuddin Rajdhani Express, Kanniyakumari- Jammu Tawi Express, Chennai Egmore-Jodhpur Express, Chennai Central-Jammu Tawi Express and Chennai Central-Jaipur Express will be diverted via Arakonnam, Renigunta, Guntakal, Wadi, Daund, Manmad, Bhusaval and Itarsi.Meanwhile, the Chennai Central-Lucknow Express, Chennai Central-Hazrat Nizamuddin Garib Rath Express and the Madurai-Hazrat Nizamuddin Sampark Kranti Express will take the Gudur, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam and Raipur route.Similarly, the Thiruvananthapuram-New Delhi Kerala Express and Thiruvananthapuram- Indore Express will be diverted via Shoranur, Mangalore, Madgaon, Roha, Panvel, Vasai Road and Vadodara.Coimbatore-Jaipur Express leaving Coimbatore on September 23 will be diverted via Bangalore City, Hubli, Miraj, Pune, Vasai Road and Ahmedabad.East bound trains Like Bangalore-Dharbhanga Express, Bangalore-Patna Sanghamitra Express, Ernakulam-Barauni Express and Chennai Central-Chhapra Express will be diverted via Gudur, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam and Kharajpur section.Meanwhile, 17 incoming trains have been also diverted from their orginal routes Trains like Navjeevan Express, Grand Trunk Express, Tamil Nadu Express, and Kerala Express will be diverted more or less on the similar routes followed by the outgoing trains.While Hazrat-Nizamuddin-Chennai Central Rajdhani Express will be diverted via Itarsi, Nagpur, Raipur, Vishakapatnam, Vijayawada and Gudur, the Gorakhpur-Thiruvananthapuram Express, Chennai Central Duronto Express, Jammu Tawi-Chennai Central Express will be diverted via the Itarsi, Bhusaval, Manmad, Daund, Guntakkal, Renigunta and Arakonnam section. Similarly, Jaipur-Chennai Central Express leaving Jaipur on September 23 will be diverted via Itarsi, Bhusaval, Manmad, Daund, Wadi, Guntakkal, Renigunta and Arakonnam.The Hazrat Nizamuddin- Kanniyakumari Express will be diverted via Bhopal, Vadodara, Vasai Road, Panvel, Roha, Madgaon, Londa, Yesvantpur, Jolarpettai, Katpadi, Arakonnam and Chennai Egmore.
