HYDERABAD: Hyderabad civil society members made a two-fold appeal regarding the Telanagana issue. They demanded the state and centre resolve the issue expeditiously and called upon Telangana youth not to commit suicide.Speaking to mediapersons here on Tuesday, Dr A Gopala Kishan, civil society member urged both the governments to end this state of indecision regarding statehood to Telangana. He said promises had been made and broken. The decades-long struggle for proper constitutional governance by people of Telangana and  continuous neglect of the issue for short term political gains by various political organisations had created a sense of abandonment, moral, social, political and constitutional, amongst people of the entire state.“Such a sense of abandonment is dangerous to social unity and fraternity amongst people of all regions. Continued neglect of the issue or even a perception of the neglect among people is dangerous for the social order and conscience of the people, of all three regions”.Former supreme court judge, B Sudarshan Reddy, former chief justice of Allahabad high court, A Lakshmana Rao, former judge of AP high court A Gopal Reddy, Care Foundation chairman Dr S Somaraju, MLC Chukka Ramaiah, former DGP Pervaram Ramulu, veteran journalist Pothuru Venkateshwara Rao and others were present.
