Suddenly a group of 15 people came from behind and started thrashing us, they also broke the mirror of the vehicle. The vehicles had buffaloes in it. We keep supplying it. It happened for the first time in Jharoda but prior to it we were thrashed twice in different areas in Delhi.”
On being asked whether they had legal transit paper to transport cattle, Raees said they are in this business since a long time. They buy cattle for sale in Uttar Pradesh and Delhi. For the last few years, they have been facing issues in transporting cattle.
Police said they are investigating the matter further. They are also looking into the fact whether they had legal transit papers.
