BANGALORE: If you are a silk lover, waiting to experience different facets of silk then your wait is over as the famous Silk of India exhibition cum sale is back in the city. The exhibition that commenced on November 11 showcased extensive multifarious silk and cotton products made by the best artisans across the country.The silk available in the exibition spoke out a feeling of multiculturalism as one could find products like gadwal, pochampally, mangalgiri sarees of Andhra Pradesh, tussar and matka silk from Bihar, embroidered silk sarees, pashmina shawls of Jammu and Kashmir, Jamdani and jamavar silk sarees of Uttar Pradesh,Kasauti work of Karnataka, Munga silk of Assam, Kosa silk of chhattisgarh and much more products of home furnishing among other things.Ashish Gupta, the organiser says, more than twelve thousand artisans reaps benefit by these events through out the year.The exhibition will continue till November 21, at Basava Bhavana, Near Chalukya Hotel, Bangalore.
