HYDERABAD: The 313th ‘Khalsa Saajna Divas’ (Khalsa Panth Foundation Day celebrations), popularly known as Vaisakhi, will be celebrated on a grand scale in the city from Thursday to Saturday.The celebrations will be organised under the aegis of the Prabhandak Committee Gurudwara Saheb, Ameerpet and Sadh Sangat of Ameerpet.Amrit Sanchaar or Amrit Paan (holy baptism) will be conducted on Thursday, Vishaal Deewan (mass congregation) and Nagar Keertan (holy procession) on Friday, and Rein Sabai Keertan Darbar on Saturday.Prabhandak Committee president S.Amarjeet Singh, vice-president S.Sulakshan Singh, general secretary S.Surender Singh and joint secretary S.Bhagender Singh said Amrit Paan would be performed at Gurudwara Saheb, Ameerpet at 11 am on April 12. Those wishing to have Amrit can register their names with the Head Granthi.The Khalsa Saajna Divas would fall on April 13. Vishaal Deewan will be held at Sri Guru Gobind Singhji Playgrounds at Ameerpet from 11 am to 5 pm. The event would be marked by the recitation of Gurubani Keertans by the Ragi Jathas invited from various parts of the country.Bhai Inderjeet Singhji Khalsa (Darbar Sahib, Harmandir Sahib, Golden Temple Amritsar), Giani Harinder Singhji of Alwarwale, Sant Ravinder Singhji of Nanaksarwale, Bhai Surinder Singhji, Hazuri Ragi Jatha, Bhai Gurmukh Singhji, Jatha Tera Jatha will recite Shabad Keertans and Kathas on the teachings of Sikh Gurus. After the culmination of the congregation Guru-ka-Langar will be served to the devotees.In the evening, a colourful procession will be organised from the Gurudwara Saheb, Ameerpet and will pass through Greenlands, Begumpet and Punjagutta and return to the Gurudwara Saheb.Guru Granth Sahebji (holy scripture) will be carried on a decorated vehicle along with Nishaan Sahebans (religious flags). Rendering of Shabad Keertans, display of Gatka, a Sikh martial art, and other breathtaking sword exercises by Dashmesh Kalgidhar Jatha and Maharaja Ranjeet Singh Akhada will be the other highlights of the procession.On April 14, night congregation will be held between 8 pm and 1.30 am at Guru Gobind Singhji Sports Stadium at Ameerpet.
