BANGALORE: The Cabinet which met here on Tuesday has decided to convene the customary joint session of the state Legislature, in which the Governor would be invited to address both its Houses; it has, however, failed to arrive at a consensus over dates for the same.Informing this, Minister for Higher Education Dr V S Acharya said that the issue of convening the session came up for discussion and was eventually approved. A final call on the matter will be taken by Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda after consulting the Governor. The decision to not finalise the dates has added confusion in the ruling BJP, amid reports that former CM B S Yeddyurappa is bargaining with the party high command to consider his comeback in state politics.Supporters of the former chief minister, including several ministers, were reportedly not in favour of convening the session before their demands received due consideration from the party high command.
