SEC to review preparations

CHENNAI: State Election Commissioner S Ayyar will be reviewing the arrangements being made for the forthcoming local body elections. The review meetings will be held on four days - October 4,7,8 and 10.At the meeting to be held in Chennai on October 4, Collectors of Chennai, Tiruvallur, Kanchipuram, Vellore, Villupuram, Tiruvannamalai and Cuddalore and top police officers will take part. The second meeting will be held at Madurai on October 7 in which officials from Madurai, Dindigul, Theni, Ramanathapuram, Sivaganga, Virudhunagar, Tirunelveli, Tuticorin and Kanayakumari will participate. The third meet will be held at Tiruchy on October 8 and the fourth, in Coimbatore on October 10.
