BANGALORE: Carnival of Colors’, a saree exhibition will be held on December 29 and 30 at J P Nagar. The sarees which will be displayed in the exhibition is designed by Ushasridhar, an in-house designer from Chennai.  It showcases the eclectic display of block printed sarees in pure silk, cotton silk and hand loom cottons, which are directly from looms mapped  down south.Speaking about the range of colours Ushasridhar said, “As of colours  we have used all rainbow colours with unusual combo. Colour range goes from plain, short, subtle, cross and vibrant colour in light to dark, sure to  suit everyone.”Sarees which would be displayed in the exhibition carries different varieties of embroidery in Kanchi silk sari which creates a delicate yet rich symphony of hand work. Some of the many include aari, kalamkari applique, Kundan, mirror and chamki. Also on display variety of ready-to-wear blouses in silk cotton, plain and printed  cotton  in all sizes and common matching colours are available. Pattern of cutting  includes  cuttori with three piece, cutcholi, plain cut and other designs which are designed by Anusha Arvind,   trained at NIFT, college of fashion designing. Multi-colour patch blouses with high collar which are trendy and goes well with any saree are also exhibited.To add on to the collection of sarees, display of ethnic jewelry from abroad are also displayed. Some include black onyx  beads set with a warli painting black silk sari, to make it more fashionable. Fancy and the contemporary sets are also available.
