Sania moves into Hobart quarters

New Delhi: Sania Mirza has moved into the quarter-finals of the Hobart International tournament with a win over Romina Oprandi of Italy.

The Indian, who had upset fourth seed Maria Kirilenko of Russia on Monday beat Oprandi 6-7, 6-3, 6-0 in the second round.

In another event, Leander Paes and his parnter Martin Damm got through their opening tie at the Medibank International in Sydney. They beat Lukas Dlouzy and Pavel Vizner 7-6, 6-2.
