SABARIMALA: Hari Varma, 58, of Maithallur Koickal, Kaippuzha, near Pandalam, will be the representative of Pandalam Valiyaraja to accompany the Thiruvabharanam procession from Pandalam Valiyakoickal Sree Dharma Sastha temple on January 13. Son of Neelakantan Nampoothiri of Kottayam Kozhippurathu Illam and Thanvanki Thampuratti of Maithallur Koickal, Hari Varma was working in a Bangalore-based company. Hari Varma was selected by the Pandalam Palace coordination committee headed by Rama Varma Raja and secretary Raghava Varma Raja final approval of Pandalam Valiya Raja Rama Varma Raja. The representative of Pandalam Raja will accompany the Thiruvabharanam procession up to Pampa and stay back there for a few days. On Januray 19, Hari Varma will reach Sannidhanam through the North Nada and put up at Malikappuram. The customary darsan of the representative of Pandalam Raja will be held at 7 a.m. on January 21. After the darsan, the ceremony of handing over the key of the temple to the melsanthi will take place in front of the Holy Steps. After the ceremony, the Thiruvabharanam procession will begin its return journey, to be accompanied by Hari Varma.After a three-day journey, the Thiruvabharanam procession will reach Pandalam Valiyakoickal Sree Dharma Sastha temple at 9 a.m. on January 24.
