Postings in colleges proper, says TDB chief

KOCHI: Stating that the allegations regarding the appointment of teachers in colleges under the Travancore Devaswom Board were baseless, the TDB said all the appointments were based on university regulations and statutes.  “The rank list had been prepared by taking into account the 75 marks based on academic qualification, thesis and experience, ten marks given by the university representative and 15 marks given by the management, government and college principals,” TDB president M Rajagopalan Nair said. The file regarding the selection of the candidates had been placed in front of the board and no member had opposed it. But one of the members did not sign the minutes and got hold of the copy of the list, he said.
