Prime Minister Singh has been urged to provide jobs to one member of families of those who died in the Mumbai blast.
New Delhi: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has been urged to provide suitable jobs to one member each of the families who lost their dear ones in the July 11 Mumbai blasts and to the survivors.
Mumbai Congress Chief Gurudas Kamat in a letter has made the demand to Singh.
The Government should consider employment for the blast victims to help them recover and lead a normal life, according to Kamat.
The letter written by Kamat last month also seeks tax exemption for the compensation given to the families of the dead and to the injured.
Finance Minister P Chidambaram accepted the demand for tax exemption on Monday.
