New Delhi: As veteran actor Sadashiv Amrapurkar breathed his last in Mumbai on Monday morning, condolences poured in from the actor's colleagues and even Prime Minister Narendra Modi on twitter.
The actor was a prominent face in both Marathi as well as Hindi cinema in the 1990s. He gained prominence after his role in 'Ardh Satya' for which he won the Best Supporting Actor Filmfare award in 1984.
Condoling his death, Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote, " We will remember Sadashiv Amrapurkar as a versatile actor, popular across generations. RIP. My deepest condolences to his family.(sic)".
Pooja Bhatt called him one of the most iconic villains after Gabbar Singh. The two had worked in Mahesh Bhatt's 'Sadak'.
