THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Judicial First Class Magistrate Court (JFCMC)(1) here ordered Chief Electoral Officer (CEO)and three others to appear in the court, in connection with the plea against Anoop Jacob, who has been elected from the Piravom constituency, for allegedly hiding the details about the cases and punishment against him in the affidavit filed along with the nomination papers for the election. JFCM K P Sunil asked CEO Nalini Netto, Sub-Inspectors of Cantonment Station here and Ernakulam Central Police Station and Georgekutty Abraham, notary, who signed the affidavit to appear in the court on April 28.The court asked the CEO to produce the nomination papers and affidavit filed by Anoop and both the Sub-Inspectors to produce the case diaries pertaining to the case when they appear before the court. In his plea, Neyyattinkara P Nagaraju, had requested the court to charge a case against Anoop under Section 125 (a) of the Representation of the People Act. The cases are the ones under Cantonment Station, in 2001 and the other under Central Station related with picketing of Kanayannur Taluk office in 2007. Anoop had paid `500 as fine in the first case.
