Petrol pump partial strike called off

New Delhi: The partial strike of petrol pump owners across the country has been called off. The strike was called off on Tuesday after they got a written assurance from the government on commission payments.

The petrol and diesel pumps station owners launched a partial shutdown of pumps on Monday, operating only from 9 am to 5 pm, in protest against inadequate commission payments. The pump owners said the move would help them save on manpower costs.

CNG pumps, however, were open 24/7 as the owners say they have got good commissions.
