HYDERABAD: The second phase of Rachchabanda programme will begin on November 2. November will be declared a Welfare Month and social benefits will be distributed to 33 lakh people in the state.Revenue minister N Raghuveera Reddy told newsmen that chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy would formally launch the second phase of the programme.During the second phase, 22 lakh white ration cards will be issued to the eligible poor families in the state to enable them to get Re 1-a-kg subsidised rice.Social security pensions will be distributed to 4.16 lakh old people and widows and 1.04 lakh physically challenged. Of the 15 lakh beneficiaries of the Indiramma housing scheme, six lakh will get house sanction letters during the phase. The minister said implementation of various development programmes in Telangana region was hit due to Sakala Janula Samme.
