Shipra Malik, who owns a boutique in Noida, was found in a house in a village near Gurgaon.

Noida-based fashion designer Shipra Malik, who had gone missing on Monday, was found in a village near Gurgaon on Friday. According to sources, she has given contradictory statements during interrogation by police.

Police sources further said that prima facie, financial distress could be a reason behind the fashion designer's disappearance.

Shipra, who owns a boutique in Noida, was found in a house in a village on Jhajjar road almost 30 kilometers from Gurgaon.

According to reports, she was alone when the police found her.

She is being interrogated by a senior police official. Two of the five police teams, which were formed to trace her, were dispatched following leads about her being in a village near Gurgaon.

According to Gurgaon police, Shipra Malik knocked at the door of a house in Haryana's Sultanpur village late on Thursday night, following which she told the villagers that she was abducted from Noida by a group of four men.

She also told the villagers that her abductors took her to various locations but she managed to run away from their clutches at the first opportunity to go. Villagers then informed the Farukhnagar police station, who passed on the information to Noida police.

Meanwhile, police sources said that there was no ransom, no abduction or no rape in the case.

Earlier, Noida police had found CCTV footage that showed Shipra entering an ING Vyasya Bank in Noida on February 29, just a short while before she went missing. Shipra reportedly operated her bank locker at the bank.

Chetan Malik, her husband who is a local builder, had filed a missing complaint with the Noida police. The family did not receive any ransom call.
