PALAKKAD: The airline industry is facing a crisis and the Government, however, did not propose to implement any stimulus package, said Union Minister for Civil Aviation Vayalar Ravi. He said that the crisis was due to the high price of aviation turbine fuel in the global market. He was speaking on the sidelines of the inauguration of Indira Gandhi memorial meet held here on Saturday. The Minister said that he could not subscribe to the view of the CPM on the conduct of roadside meetings, in reply to a question.Earlier, he inaugurated the Indira Gandhi memorial meet at the District Congress Committee office here in which Cultural Minister K C Joseph also spoke. DCC president C V Balachandran presided over the meet.The Minister also laid the foundation stone for the building of five houses for the poor as part of the golden jubilee celebrations of Kanikkamatha school .
