As of now, there is no proposal from the government to extend the routes of the proposed three corridors of the Hyderabad Metro Rail Project Limited (HMRL), minister for municipal administration M Maheedhar Reddy said here on Tuesday.
Releasing a CD and booklet on ‘Metro Railchhene’ (folk songs in Telugu on metro rail) in his chamber at the Secretariat in the presence of HMRL managing director NVS Reddy, Maheedhar Reddy said that the state government’s top priority is to complete the three corridors—Miyapur to L B Nagar (28.27 km), Jubilee bus station to Falaknuma (14.78 km) and Nagole to Shilparamam, Hitec City (27.51 km).
“Only after the completion of these corridors, the government can think on extending the routes which would be solely based on people’s demands. Right now, there are no proposals to extend any of the three corridors,” he said.
The CD and the booklet will be distributed free of cost at all the Ganesha pandals during the Ganesh festivities.
The promotional CD contains five Telugu folk songs which highlights the metro rail projects and its advantages.
