Koderma (Jharkhand): A day after she filed a petition in court seeking bail, Sudha Pathak, the mother of deceased journalist Nirupama, on Friday withdrew it to make a fresh appeal with additional inputs.
Her counsel pleaded before Chief Judicial Magistrate N K Aggarwal in Koderma that she was withdrawing her bail petition to add some more documents.
Sudha was arrested and remanded in judicial custody in connection with her 22-year-old daughter's death under mysterious circumstances on April 29. She had petitioned for bail on Thursday .
The police, investigating among other angles whether the incident was connected to 'honour killing', have also filed a case of rape and abetment to suicide against Nirupama's boyfriend Priyabhanshu Ranjan on the direction of the local court.
