ENTERTAINMENT: Aiyaary Release Date Gets Postponed

The makers of Sidharth Malhotra-starrer Aiyaary decided to postpone the release date of the film to avoid box office clash with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmavat and R Balki's PadMan. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to confirm the news. Earlier, Aiyaary was scheduled to hit theatres alongside Akshay Kumar's PadMan on Republic Day. However, the makers of PadMan later decided to prepone the release date of the biopic and announced that they would be releasing it a day before. Directed by Neeraj Pandey, Aiyaary is based on a real-life incident that revolves around two strong-minded army officers having completely different views and are yet right in their own ways.

SPORTS: Yusuf Pathan Suspended by BCCI After Dope Violation

In a shocking revelation, all-rounder Yusuf Pathan had failed a dope test during a domestic match last season. The member of the 2011 World Cup winning side has been suspended for the violation. A statement by BCCI testifies the same. The statement said, "Mr Yusuf Pathan has been suspended for a doping violation. Mr Pathan had inadvertently ingested a prohibited substance, which can be commonly found in cough syrups." Right after the statement from the BCCI, Pathan thanked the board for letting him plead his case in a 'fair and reasonable manner'.

TECH: Google Teams With Sony, Lenovo For Smart Speakers

Alphabet's Google said on Monday its voice-controlled virtual assistant will show up this year in new tablet-like devices designed by LG Electronics and Sony Corp as the technology company seeks to challenge Amazon.com's dominance in a fledgling market. Dubbed smart displays by Google, the new devices introduce tablet-like screens to speakers that can obey oral commands to perform tasks like playing music, dimming lights, locking doors and setting alarms. JBL and Lenovo Group Ltd also are developing smart displays, Google said.
