Mumbai: The Mumbai gangrape survivor and her friend on Wednesday identified the minor accused in the gangrape case. The sources said that the identification parade of the minor took place at a remand home on Wednesday.

The DNA of the accused has been found on the clothes of the photojournalist.

Soucres also said that Crime Branch police is examining the possibility of invoking the stringent MCOCA (Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act) against the minor accused.

The 23-year-old photojournalist was allegedly gangraped by five men on August 22 evening at Shakti Mill in Parel area of Central Mumbai. The woman was accompanied by a male colleague and was on an assignment, who was gagged and bound while she was raped.

All the five accused - Salim Ansari, Vijay Jadhav, Mohammed Kasim ,Hafiz Shaikh alias Kasim Bengali and Siraj Rehman Khan and a minor - were arrested in the case and are currently in police custody of the crime branch.
