Union Rural Development Minister Jairam Ramesh has refuted Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan's allegation that his ministry was discriminating against the state government. "Chouhan's claim in this regard is totally unfounded," Ramesh told reporters in Gwalior on Sunday evening.
Chouhan has repeatedly said that the Union rural development ministry was discriminating against MP because of which benefits of various schemes were not reaching the poor people. Rubbishing Chouhan's charges, Ramesh said that many schemes including Nirmal Bharat, MNREGA, National Rural Employment Guarantee scheme and Indira Awas Yojana were being implemented well and as per schedule in Madhya Pradesh.
The minister, however, declined to answer questions by reporters on Narendra Modi, the logjam in Parliament and pending bills while saying that he would not like to talk about politics.
