Agra: A six-year-old girl was allegedly buried alive by her step-mother in Shashtripuram area of the district.
Sumiksha was buried by her step-mother, Archana, on Sunday and her body was found on Thursday, said Ashok Kumar Singh, Circle Officer of Haripur police station.
Archana has been booked for murder and arrested, the police officer said.
According to the police, the accused buried the minor girl alive on Sunday and told her husband that she had gone missing.
However, after three days, Archana revealed the matter to her nephew who informed the police.
"After reaching the spot, police exhumed the body of the girl. A piece of cloth was stuffed into her mouth," the CO said.
