Milestones remain as historic monuments

TRIPUNITHURA: The historic milestones, which had separated the border between the ancient Travancore and Kochi provinces, were restored in the same positions on Wednesday.A few of these Thursday, November 03, 2011, marking the ancient political boundary between Kochi and Travancore provinces, which were inscribed as Ko-Thi (abbreviated form of Kochi-Thiruvithamkore).These milestones were destroyed by some anti-social elements a few weeks ago. Now, the panchayat authorities restored them in the original position andassured that they would do their level best to pres-erve these historic monuments.
