KOCHI: Announcing its entry in the Utility Vehicle(UV) segment, Maruti Suzuki India Limited rolled out its first Life Utility Vehicle (LUV) ‘Ertiga’ in Kochi on Friday.Speaking at the unveiling ceremony, Maruti Suzuki commercial business head (south) Manohar Bhatt said “’Ertiga’ represented aspirations of young urban Indian families that were active and connected. It also displays Suzuki’s ability to bring compactness, style and high fuel efficiency to Utility Vehicles. India is the first market to sell Ertiga,” Bhatt said.Coming under the philosophy of Swift platform, Ertiga carries K-Series, 1373cc VVT (K14B) engine.“K14B is the third engine in the K-series technology introduced by Maruti Suzuki,” Maruti Suzuki Kerala region head Thomas Cherian said. The ex-showroom price in Kerala for petrol and diesel starts at Rs 6,13,001 and Rs 7,55,258 respectively.
