HYDERABAD: The number of deaths in the Punjab National hotel building collapse rose to four, with one more person succumbing to injuries on Sunday.Nagnath, a street vendor and a resident of Musheerabad died in the wee hours of Sunday while undergoing treatment at the Gandhi hospital.Nagnath, who was buried under the debris was rescued by the Central Industrial Security Force with the assistance of police on Saturday.Another person, Mallesh Yadav who is also undergoing treatment at the hospital is said to be stable.Police also arrested two persons Sunday in connection with the building collapse while three are still absconding.The building had been purchased by four people from the hotel management a few months ago.Ch Srikanth, deputy commissioner of police, said they had arrested Ashishkumar Kataria, one of the owners and builder Giribabu for initiating demolition works without permission.“A few special teams were formed to trace the other accused.Three owners are still absconding,’’ he added.Police booked cases against the builder and owners under section 304 (causing death by negligence), 337 (causing hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others) of IPC.The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation is also likely to take criminal action against the accused.Officials said the owners did not take permission to demolish the building.
