BANGALORE: LPG supplies could be hit as the South Zone LPG Tanker Owners Association has called a strike from 8 pm on Wednesday.The association said the government has not fulfilled its promises, including an increase in freight charges from `2.45 to `3 per ton a km.“The stock of 30,000 tonnes won’t last long,” association general secretary Shanmugappa said.LPG supplies and auto services could be hit after a few days, according to association members.While IOC’s supplies to the city come by rail, M M Harish, president of the Karnataka Bharath Gas District Association, said, “The rest of the companies depend on tankers.”
