Lankan held with heroin at airport

CHENNAI: A Sri Lankan national was arrested by sleuths of the Narcotics Control Bureau at the Anna International airport, for allegedly attempting to smuggle over two kg of heroin.NCB officials said that they acted on a tip-off and intercepted Mohamed Rikas alias Rikaz (23) of Sri Lanka on Saturday, just before he was about to board a flight to Lanka. As much as 2.35 kg of heroin was found concealed in his suitcase, they added.Inquiry revealed that the contraband was obtained from Madhya Pradesh.
