Kids orchestra completes a thousand performance

CHENNAI: It is understandable when five-year-olds sing Kolaveri on stage (which they did), but when tots from Isai Mottugal, the children's orchestra, enthralled a select audience with their rendition of songs from the black-and-white era, the effect was nothing but spellbinding! This was at the thousandth performance of the orchestra held in the city recently.    Old numbers from movies Bale Pandiya, Nalla Thambi and Edhir Neechal were rendered at the performance. The 20-member light music orchestra, founded by M Gopal, has been around from 2004.
