Key bills to be taken up in Monsoon session of Parliament
With crucial bills in the pipeline, the government has finalised 35 items of business for the Monsoon session.

Under attack from the Opposition and an 'unhappy' ally, trouble seems to be escalating for the Narendra Modi government as it gets ready to bring in and pass some key bills in the Monsoon session of Parliament. Ahead of the session, the Prime Minister also reached out to opposition parties asking them to let the House function.

The government is facing a turbulent time to bring the Opposition onboard who are demanding ouster of Minister of External Affairs Sushma Swaraj, Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje in the Lalit Modi row and her Madhya Pradesh counterpart Shivraj Singh Chouhan in Vyapam scam.

With crucial bills in the pipeline, the government has finalised 35 items of business for the Monsoon session. They include nine bills pending in Rajya Sabha and four in Lok Sabha, besides introduction of 11 new pieces of legislation.
