THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The defence division of Kerala State Electronics Development Corporation (KELTRON) at Karakulam Complex has bagged orders worth Rs 3.4 crore from Indian Navy for the supply of 10 shipments of electromagnetic log and re-transmission units.The division has also received orders worth Rs 3.5 crore from Bharat Electronics Limited, Bangalore, for the manufacture and supply of digital power amplifiers required for sonar systems. Power amplifiers are developed by the Keltron based on a ‘transfer of technology’ from Naval Physical Oceanographic Lab (NPOL), Kochi.The defence division of Keltron is also in the process of finalising orders worth Rs 5 crore from Indian Navy for the manufacture and supply of data distribution units. In total, the division has bagged orders worth Rs 78 crore.
