JMM Badgaon block committee president Bacho Hembram shot dead

JMM Bandgaon block committee president Bacho Hembram was shot dead by suspected cadres of the People s Liberation Front of India (PLFI) in adjoining West Singhbhum district in Jharkhand.

Hembram, also the Mukhia of Bandgaon block, was taking a stroll near his home after dinner last night when motor-cycle borne ultras opened fire killing him, police sources said. Police Superintendent Nagrendra Kumar Singh said it appeared to be the handiwork of the PLFI. The reason for the killing could not be established.
