J&K Govt Directs JKSSB To Recruit 2154 Teachers in 4 Months, 1289 Non-Teaching Staff in 3 Months!
Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti confirmed the same in a tweet she posted last night on her official twitter handle, “To meet the dearth of staff in schools we have directed the J&K Services Selection Board to complete the recruitment for 2,154 teachers’ posts in the next 4 months. Education a top priority for us.”

Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has been directed by the Mehbooba Mufti led Jammu and Kashmir coalition government to recruit 2154 teachers in the state’s education department within next 4 months. It is a welcome move for the students in the state of Jammu and Kashmir for better education environment as well for the youth as this teachers’ recruitment drive will push employment opportunities in the state.

As per sources, the Jammu and Kashmir Education Department has been recommended to fill 3450 posts in total including 2154 vacancies of teaching staff and 1289 vacancies of non-teaching staff.

In a meeting to discuss and implement the teachers recruitment drive, Jammu and Kashmir Minister for Education - Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari had referred the School Education Department Secretary Farooq Ahmed Shah and JKSSB Chairperson Simrandeep Singh to commence the teachers’ recruitment process by January 2018 next month and complete all formalities and approvals before that.

The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has been asked to complete all recruitment related work in the next four months and meet deadlines to scale up the education facilities in the state. Meanwhile, the recruitment process for appointing 1289 non-teaching staff already under process in the state and the Education Minister has set a timeline of three months to complete the same.

JKSSB Chairperson Simrandeep Singh had assured the Education department to complete the recruitment drive within the timelines set by the Jammu and Kashmir Government.

Candidates must keep a tab on the official website of JKSSB to apply for the Teaching jobs as soon as they are announced by the department.
