Stockholm: Indian golfers Jeev Milkha Singh and Shiv Kapur carded a modest two-under 70s on the opening day for a share of the 16th spot at the Nordea Masters here.
The third Indian in the fray, SSP Chowrasia continued his struggle with an eight-over 80.
With most stars resting the week, amateur Robert Karlsson took the spotlight and the lead at 67, while the better-known professional by the same name, shot 69.
Amateur Karlsson shared the lead with compatriot Alex Noren and South African Jaco Van Zyl, who was second in Morocco earlier this year.
Kapur, starting on the 10th hole, traded a birdie for a bogey and turned in even-par.
He had birdies on first and ninth holes to make it two-under for the day.
Jeev had pars on first three and then two bogeys. But he steadied himself with birdies on eighth and ninth and then 13th and 18th for a 70.
