Jaju's anticipatory bail adjourned
Actress Priyanka Chopra's former secretary Prakash Jaju's application for anticipatory bail has been adjourned.

Mumbai: A sessions court on Friday adjourned the anticipatory bail application of Prakash Jaju, former secretary of actress Priyanka Chopra, till May 29.

Jaju is seeking anticipatory bail, fearing arrest after Priyanka's father lodged a police complaint earlier this week that Jaju was threatening her over a dispute regarding his fees.

The court adjourned the case, as there seemed to be some confusion about whether the offences Jaju is alleged to have committed are bailable.

Public Prosecutor told the court that the offences of threatening and insulting a woman's modesty are bailable, so there is no need to grant anticipatory bail.

But defence lawyer R M Upadhyay stated that it was not the case.

The judge asked the public prosecutor to verify the exact status of the offences and adjourned the order till May 29.
