New Delhi: The increasing number of suicide attacks in the sub-continent are a cause for huge concern for the governments.
But Israel, in a friendly gesture, offered to share their methods of preventing suicide bombing with New Delhi.
In an exclusive statement to CNN-IBN, Israel’s Home Minister Meir Sheetrit said, “We have to find a way how to prevent suicide bombers from getting into bus stations, train stations, (and from there) into buses and trains.”
From 26 suicide attacks that killed 144 people in 2003, the number of attacks in Israel had dwindled to 2, killing 9 people, in 2006.
We have to develop facilities and other things, a lot of policies on what to do in order to prevent them from coming in. We succeeded in doing it. We succeeded in reducing it to almost zero by learning,” said Sheetrit.
