New Delhi: Former US secretary of State Condoleezza Rice assured India that the United States is together with India in its demand for bringing an end to terrorism. "There is no justification of taking innocent lives. India-US share a common goal of curbing terrorism," she said.
Speaking at the HT Leadership summit, she also added that Pakistan should fight against terrorism emanating from its soil. "Extremism is a threat to Pakistan. Many Pakistanis are tired of extremism in their country," she said.
Speaking about the India-US relationship, Rice said, "Indo-US relationship is at the centre of the global opportunities and the challenges we face." She also added that the two countries also shared common interests in economic growth, trade and energy security.
Along with sharing a common goal in curbing terrorism, Rice also said that both the countries are also value about taking care of the minority interests. "Minorities play a crucial role in growth. India and US share that value of inclusion," Rice said.
