In Andhra Pradesh, Kuppam Artist Makes Hanuman Sketch On The Occasion Of Chaitra Navratri
Purushottam hails from Kuppam in the Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh.

The Hindu festival of Chaitra Navratri is celebrated with vigour, fervour, pomp and enthusiasm all over the country and marks nine days of festivities. During these nine days, devotees worship the nine forms of Maa Durga and observe a fast. This year, Ram Navami is celebrated today, April 17 and will mark the conclusion of the nine-day festivities. Meanwhile, an artist from Kuppam, in the Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh, is garnering attention for his artwork.

The name of the artist is Purushottam; he makes various forms of painting and sketches. His speciality is making pictures of renowned people who have served the public.

On the special occasions of Navratri, he made a huge Hanuman sketch, 25 feet high and 20 feet wide and displayed it among the fields. It took almost two days to paint the picture.

In a media interaction, Purushottam said that the superhero film Hanu-Man, directed by Prasanth Varma, has given him inspiration to do this. He also shared greetings on Sri Ram Navami.

Hanu-Man stars Teja Sajja in the title role, alongside Amritha Aiyer in the lead female role, while Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Samuthirakani, Vinay Rai, Vennela Kishore and Raj Deepak Shetty play important supporting roles.

The movie revolves around the story of Hanumanthu, who gets the power of Lord Hanuman to save the people of Anjanadri and faces off against Michael after coming in contact with a mysterious gem.

Hanu-Man was released on January 12, 2024, on the occasion of Sankranti and received positive reviews from critics. The film broke several box-office records and grossed over Rs 330 crore, emerging as the highest-grossing Telugu film of 2024.

However, various art often goes viral on the internet. Before the consecration event on January 22 in Ayodhya, a forty-year-old Odisha teacher and artist made a miniature of Ram temple.

The name of the artist was Eshwar Rao. He made the replica using paper, a matchstick and chalk.

As per the report, the model was five and a half inches high and two and a half inches wide. A one-inch-tall figure of Lord Hanuman is also there in front of the temple. The figure is made of chalk. It took him seven days to create this miniature Ram temple.
