IMD Forecast: Rainfall Intensity to Decrease Over Northeast After July 11, Heavy Rains in UP During Next 5 Days
The latest IMD forecast has also said that heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely over Konkan, Madhya Maharashtra and Coastal Karnataka during July 12-15.

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted extremely heavy rains over Northeast and East India over the next two days and added that the intensity of rainfall will decrease thereafter. The weather department has said that isolated extremely heavy rainfall is very likely over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and Meghalaya on July 10 and 11, and Bihar on July 11.

Fairly widespread to widespread light to moderate rainfall accompanied with thunderstorm, lightning are also very likely over Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Bihar and Northeast India while scattered to fairly widespread light to moderate rainfall is likely over Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand and Odisha during the next five days.

The latest IMD forecast has also said that heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely over Konkan, Madhya Maharashtra and Coastal Karnataka during July 12-15 and Goa during the next five days. Gujarat is also likely to witness isolated very heavy rains today.

The Met department added that fairly widespread to widespread light to moderate rainfall accompanied with thunderstorm and lightning is very likely over Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Kerala and Mahe, Lakshadweep and Karnataka while scattered to fairly widespread light to moderate rainfall is expected over Gujarat region, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, Telangana, Marathwada over the next five days. Isolated to scattered light to moderate rainfall is also predicted over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal and Rayalaseema during the next five days.

Meanwhile, a heavy rainfall spell is also likely over western Himalayan Region during July 11-13 and over East Uttar Pradesh during the next five days, the IMD has said.

The latest weather forecast says fairly widespread to widespread light to moderate rainfall accompanied with thunderstorm and lightning is very likely over Uttarakhand and Central India during the next five days. Scattered to fairly widespread light to moderate rainfall is also predicted over Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad and East Rajasthan during the next five days. Light to moderate rainfall is also expected in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi during July 11-13.
