TARIKERE( CHIKMAGALUR): The main accused behind the II-PU question paper leaks, Siddarammappa, a teacher from Kudlur Primary School in Tarikere taluk; and Yogeesh, a law graduate; were produced before a JMFC Court here on Tuesday and remanded in CID custody.Their bail pleas were rejected; public prosecutor Bhaskar argued strongly against them getting bail.Later at noon, CID officers Siddappa, Narasimha Iyengar and Ramalingappa brought the other accused - Prahlad of Shivani; Shashidhar of Chikkanavangala; Anil Ravat of Bhadravathi; Munavar and Sunil Kumar of Kadur; and Ramesh and Sonnappa of Bangalore - under tight police security by Tarikere Circle Inspector H S Suresh, and produced before JMFC Civil Judge Prabhu Badigera. The judge remanded them too in CID custody for further investigation.The courtroom was filled to the brim. Public insisted that the covered faces of the accused be shown to them. They also held them responsible for the suicide of a girl due to exam tension.Initially, teachers from Kolar district were suspended for their alleged involvement in the paper leaks. On Monday, it came to light that teachers from Kadur, Chikmagalur district, too, had played a role.A CID probe had revealed that the leaked question papers were stolen from the sub-treasury office in Kadur town.
