VIJAYAWADA: The Hyderabadi Haleem is world famous. Now, Muslims and people of other faiths can relish the delicacy in Vijayawada in the holy month of Ramadan. Some hoteliers in the city have specially brought Haleem Masters from Hyderabad by paying a whopping monthly salary of `1 lakh.Haleem stalls have already come up at several places in the city, particularly in areas where the Muslim population is high. At Panja Centre in One Town, more than a dozen Haleem stalls have been set up.Speaking to Express, Saudagar Haleem Point owner Ghouse Khan said they hired Haleem Master Aslam Bhai of Pista House in Hyderabad which is very famous in preparing the delicacy, for a monthly salary of `1 lakh. They specially brought the Haleem Master of Pista House.The Haleem Masters will bring four workers along with them. The workers assist them in preparing the delicacy. They would also be handsomely paid. As part of the agreement, the hotelier will provide accommodation to all of them. The hoteliers will also give them costly gifts when they leave. According to Ghouse, Haleem at 90 per cent of centres set up in the city is prepared by the masters specially brought from Hyderabad.
