JEYPORE: Narayanpatna has been in the news for the last three days. Mediapersons and social activists have rushed to the sleepy block headquarters after Maoists declared that they would hand over the abducted Laxmipur MLA Jhina Hikaka to the former.The epicentre of Maoist movement in the State, Narayanpatna was best avoided by locals and media anticipating possible landmine spread between Laxmipur and Narayanpatna village.  However, mediapersons who reached there on Monday are having a tough time finding accommodation in the small village. The locals here are unwilling to spare place in such a time.Long queues at small eateries have become common even as the scorching heat is taking a toll on the waiting media.  Sources said the MLA would be released any time now and the media is staying put to cover the event.
