Interpol's request has come as they suspect the Hizb Chief may have a hand in Alison's disappearance.
Jammu: The Interpol has requested the Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) Police to reopen a 26-year-old case of a missing British teenager.
Alison Mcdowl went missing in 1981 in Sonamarg, Kashmir, when she was just 18 years old.
The case has been closed a long time ago, with the police not making any headway.
Interpol's request has come after 16 years as they now suspect that Hizb-ul-Mujahideen Chief Syed Salaudin had a hand in the disappearance.
Officials say that the phonetics, accent and language of Salaudin's speeches, studied by them suggest association with some from the West coast of Scotland - the same place from where Alison hailed.
Reports of phonetic experts and the CDs of his speeches have been sent to the J&K Police.
