High security for Karachi Test
Hidden cameras would be installed inside the stadium and surrounding areas and commandos put on alert at the hotel and stadium.

Karachi: Aerial surveillance and hidden cameras, among others, would constitute an unprecedented security cover as India and Pakistan lock horns in the third and last Test at the troubled city of Karachi on Sunday.

According to a police release issued on Friday, the Inspector General of Police Sindh was given a detailed report on the security plan, which said the security officials would also be deployed at the stadium and the hotel where the Indian team will stay.

The report said hidden cameras would be installed inside the stadium and surrounding areas. The commandos of elite force would be put on alert at the hotel and the stadium.

A central control room would be established regarding the monitoring of the stadium.

The IGP Sindh asked the city police to ensure foolproof security arrangements, besides making sure that the print and electronic media personnel may not face any difficulty regarding the coverage of the Test match.
