Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt starrer movie is sweeter than marshmallows and their won't be a moment when you will feel that it goes overboard.

You might make a remake or draw inspiration from a movie, but presenting an adorable and refined version of any movie is what is called astute. Debutant director Shashank Khaitan's 'Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania' is more than just an ode to 'Dilwaley Dulhania Le Jayengey'. This Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt starrer movie is sweeter than marshmallows and their won't be a moment when you will feel that it goes overboard.

Varun Dhawan as Humpty will woo your heart and with this being his third movie, the actor deserves a round of applause for being so convincing at what he does. Though Varun and Alia are playing the modern day Raj and Simran from the iconic movie 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jaayenge', both have put in a lot of effort to make this ode to DDLJ as original as possible. There are more moments of elation and laughter as the beautiful 'DDLJ' romance strikes a chord in your heart. It doesn't matter even if you have watched 'DDLJ' a zillion times, 'Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania' is a welcome treat for all 'DDLJ' fans.

Alia Bhatt had already proved her mettle in acting in Highway and it's needless to say that she plays her character so adroitly. The 21-year-old looks ravishing in the Indian attires she dons in the movie. Kavya (Alia) is a Manish Malhotra aficionado and wants to wear the designer's lehenga at her wedding. Her wish does come true, but the way she gets it is something to watchtout for.

The chemistry between Kavya and Humpty is same as that of Raj and Simran. You will like Kavya and Humpty's romance as much as Raj and Simran. In short, 'Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania' is a cuter version of 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge'.
